Change Management
As Chairman or Managing Director you have watched your planning team or "Strategic Think Tank" develop the strategy and plans to meet the business objectives. Whether or not they recognise it they have become change leaders, your people are going to have to do things differently and so are you. Understanding what you are all going through will make implementation better and faster and your leadership more effective.
The basic issue is that although the rate and intensity of change has escalated over the years, human nature has remained the same. People go through a cycle in dealing with unsought change, learning to come to terms with the ending of old ways and the start of new ones. Even though the "Strategic Think Tank" team initiated many of the changes they are not immune from the implications of "change", they just start further along the path.
