At this time there is a need to establish a real sense of urgency for change and to form a powerful guiding coalition, people from across the business with the power to influence people and lead the change effort.
When the need for change has been clarified and feelings acknowledged, your people will begin to explore what is new and how they can start to deal with the issues. This releases energy and an exploration phase begins which is often chaotic, but which allows opportunities to develop. Give your people resources, set short term goals or create "wins", train and brainstorm. Empower your people to act and reward visibly those involved with improvements. Finally institutionalise the new approaches as quickly as possible.
